The Conveyancing Academy reported in Today's Conveyancer on how they developed and launched the first practical conveyancing course in the UK this week.
The Practicing Conveyancer Legal Diploma course is 95 – 100% government funded and covers all aspects of practical conveyancing training. The course has been tried and tested at the Convey Law training Academy over the course of the last 18 months with great effect. Ideal for Trainee Solicitors as well as new and unqualified Conveyancers who need to learn the practicalities of conveying residential property whilst working in a legal environment.
Managing Director of The Conveyancing Academy and Convey Law, Lloyd Davies, commented:
“We have developed a very practical conveyancing course, which allows us to train complete novices into competent and confident conveyancers in less than 6 months. Over a 12 month period these young trainees become “King Kong Conveyancers” with their own caseloads covering all aspects of residential conveyancing.
“We were frustrated at the lack of practical training courses in the market and so we developed our own. It is all online, using videos and concise, practical written material, which incorporates best practice and the legal issues that conveyancers regularly encounter.
“Conveyancers learn on the job, completing practical conveyancing competencies as they progress. It is a great way to learn whilst working and fee earning for the employer legal practice.
“The course has been brilliant in terms of growing our conveyancing business. With a lack of Conveyancers in the industry, the course has allowed us to expand our business while developing – and retaining – our staff. We are delighted to be able to pass on our experience to other Conveyancers and Solicitors.
“Thank you to both the Conveyancing Association and the Society of Licensed Conveyancers for their support and for endorsing the new Legal Diploma.”
