Conveyancing Academy – Covid-19 – Delayed Payment Scheme 2020

Recognising the very difficult position that Conveyancing legal practices find themselves as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, we are pleased to announce our Delayed Payment Scheme, the detail of which are outlined below.
We hope that the Delayed Payment Scheme provides legal practices with the opportunity to train their staff during a period of Government funded Furlough leave. Academic training is permissible under the Government Furlough Scheme.
The Conveyancing Academy Delayed Payment Scheme applies to all Academy courses – CLC Apprentice, Paralegal, Trainee Conveyancer and Compliance courses – with effect from the 1st April 2020 until further notice.
Conveyancing Academy course fees purchased by legal practices will become payable, subject to any agreed discounts, on the 1st April 2021. The Conveyancing Academy will accept payment by instalments from the 1st April over a 6 month instalment period for cumulative course costs per legal practice under £5,000.00 and over a 10 month instalment period for cumulative course costs per legal practice over £5,000.00. Legal practices may pay their course fees on or before the 1st April 2021 if they so wish. There will be no additional interest charges or administrative fees payable under the Deferred Payment Scheme. In the event that course fees are not paid on the due date of the 1st April or any agreed instalment date, a daily interest charge of 15% will be payable on all outstanding fees.
Legal practices will be required to enter into an agreement with the Conveyancing Academy to procure Government funding for all apprenticeship Leve 4 & 6 courses as directed. Any additional course fees payable by the legal practice, representing 5% or 10% of the overall apprenticeship course costs, will become payable as directed above under the Delayed Payment Scheme.
