An award-winning Newport business, named the best in Britain for its training and people development, is launching a recruitment drive for 30 new members of staff.
Specialist legal conveyancing company, Convey Law, was named winner of the ‘Commitment to People Development’ category at the British Chamber Business Awards in 2016 for its dedication to staff training, with progression opportunities for employees in paralegal roles to become fully-qualified, licensed conveyancers.
The company has just enrolled 40 members of staff on its trainee conveyancer course through the Conveyancing Academy. The course offers graduates and paralegals a ‘fast track’ route to becoming conveyancers, with increased salary and progression opportunities.
The trainee conveyancer course will also be open to new recruits.
Convey Law has led the way in training and development for the conveyancing industry; founding the Conveyancing Academy on behalf of the Conveyancing Association, which is made up of the top 200 conveyancing lawyers in the country, to facilitate their recruitment and training needs.
Convey Law has also developed the charitable arm of the entire conveyancing industry with the launch of the Conveyancing Foundation, inspired by Convey Law’s original fundraising idea, the Free Legal Fee Competition. The Free Legal Competition has raised more than £450,000 for a variety of UK charities since it launched in 2011.
Currently employing 88 in Wales from its headquarters in Newport, Convey Law was also the first member from the South Wales Chamber of Commerce to win a national award in four years.
Lloyd Davies, managing director of Convey Law, said: “The culture at Convey Law has always been centred on providing every individual with the opportunity to fulfil their potential, and our commercial success continues to support our approach. Investment in people is crucial to business success, and we are keen to hear from graduates and non-graduates from a variety of disciplines who would like to progress their careers by joining our dynamic company.”
